Effective training delivery is the critical factor in realizing a well designed training effort. This workshop focuses on how to apply adult learning principles; establishing and maintaining a positive learning climate; presenting information and answering questions effectively; and conducting and debriefing learning exercises. Enrollment limit of 8 participants due to extensive video-taped practice. Three days. Fee per person: $1695. Fee includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

Detailed Overview/Outline

Even the best designed training course will fail to reach its learning goals if the instructor's delivery falls short. This workshop is designed to improve professional skills in delivering training programs. Emphasis will be placed on those skills needed to conduct group instruction. This workshop will enable you to:

Substitution and Cancellation Policy

Substitutions of registrants can be made at any time. Cancellations and transfers are subject to a 25% charge unless received in writing one week prior to the program. Registrants who do not cancel in writing prior to the program date and who do not attend are responsible for the entire fee.

Instructor Background:
Cathy Lee Gibson,MBA, SPHR, is the President of NovaCore Performance Consulting, LLC. Ms. Gibson possesses more than 20 years of training, consulting, HR, and management experience from a range of industries, organizations, and sectors. She most recently served as the Director of Human Resource Management Programs at Cornell University’s ILR School. In this role, Ms. Gibson designed and directed all aspects of the human resource management program and instructed and facilitated numerous public and on-site workshops for managers and HR professionals. Her expertise spans a variety of topics, with a particular focus on strategic interviewing and performance management initiatives.

Janet E. Hatton, Independent Consultant in the field of training and development. She has over 20 years of experience in both the financial services industry and in the field of education and development. Previously, she worked at Chase Manhattan Bank as manager of the MBA Training Program for the Trading Floor, and as manager and instructor of sales-based programs for one of Chase’s global businesses.
