This workshop builds awareness and skill in the areas of team dynamics, group problem solving, and group decision making. The critical structural and behavioral dimensions of building and leading an effective work team or task force are fully explored. You will develop leadership skills applicable to many areas, but especially suited to self-directed work teams, employee participation teams, employee participation teams, interdepartmental task groups, and other group situations where combined efforts are needed to reach optimal performance levels. You will develop insights into:

- The critical differences between supervising and leading a team
- How to help your team through predictable stages

Substitution and Cancellation Policy
Substitutions of registrants can be made at any time. Cancellations and transfers are subject to a 25% charge unless received in writing one week prior to the program. Registrants who do not cancel in writing prior to the program date and who do not attend are responsible for the entire fee.

Instructor Background: Ronald G. Wells, Ph.D., President,
Comprehensive Performance Systems, a
consulting firm specializing in the development
of supervisors, managers, and organizations.
Previously, Mr. Wells spent 15 years in various
executive and line management corporate
positions. He authored a book on management,
currently in its second edition, and has
published several articles on management in
major journals.
Phillip Thompson, Vice President, Comprehensive
Performance Systems, a consulting
firm specializing in the development of
supervisors, managers, and organizations.
Mr. Thompson has 15 years of experience in
training and development, management, and
consulting. He is an adjunct faculty member of
Indiana University–Purdue University and a
certified interaction management trainer.
Ronald R. Williams, Senior Analyst, Comprehensive
Performance Systems. He has senior
management experience in both manufacturing
and service businesses, including responsibility
for strategic planning, management and
information systems, marketing, finance, and
accounting. He has developed businesses from
initial concept through the raising of capital to
