Formerly "ADR: Peer Coaching"
Conflict coaching provides disputants with the skills they need to communicate effectively with each other during any stage of the dispute resolution process. A key goal of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is to resolve disputes at the lowest level possible with the least external people involved. Conflict coaching accomplishes this by encouraging direct resolution between the two disputants. This interactive workshop provides you with:
- An understanding of the conflict coaching process
- Techniques of conflict coaching
- Methods for successfully integrating conflict coaching into an ADR process

Substitution and Cancellation Policy
Substitutions of registrants can be made at any time. Cancellations and transfers are subject to a 25% charge unless received in writing one week prior to the program. Registrants who do not cancel in writing prior to the program date and who do not attend are responsible for the entire fee.

Instructor Background: Susan W. Brecher, Esq., Director, Equal Employment Opportunities Program, Cornell University-ILR. She is also an attorney specializing in the field of employment practices. Prior to joining Cornell, she served as in-house employment counsel at ABC and NBC and was associated with the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom.
Shelly M. Greenwald, Esq., Private Attorney, specializing in the field of employment practices and litigation. She advises, counsels, trains, and handles all aspects of employment law litigation. Formerly, she was in-house counsel at NBC and has appeared on Court TV and CNBC.
Ellen S. Saltzman, Esq., Mediator and Arbitrator, serving in more than 150 mediations throughout the United States. At the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, she mediates matters in the federal and private sectors concerning civil rights, equal pay, and age and disability discrimination. Ms. Saltzman is also a mediator for the U.S. Department of Justice.
