This seminar will focus on the issues both directly and indirectly related to the foreclosure and repossession processes, including the attendant problems and statutory requirements that are often overlooked but must be considered. This program includes a framework of procedures in foreclosure, replevin and deficiency judgment cases, as well as strategies and procedures for secured creditors in bankruptcy. The speakers for this program have been chosen for their knowledge and experience in the areas of real property foreclosure, personal property repossession and bankruptcy, as well as for their ability to present current information in a clear, concise manner.

You will get a basic overview of bankruptcy law as it relates to foreclosures and repossessions, as well as an update on the effects of the recent bankruptcy amendments' effect on the relevant portions of the Bankruptcy Code. In particular, you will learn the immediate effect of bankruptcy on a foreclosure or repossession action, as well as the provisions of the Bankruptcy Code and rules that govern the rights of the various parties during the bankruptcy proceedings.
