Detailed Overview/Outline

Offered in Exclusive Partnership with Dr. Arlene Scott

Performance drives results. But what drives performance? Relationships.

As work becomes more complex and collaborative, the ability to build trusting relationships distinguishes those who flourish from those who falter. This program, offered in partnership with strategic change expert Arlene Scott, Ph.D., enables leaders to build the emotional intelligence skills they need to create trusting and productive relationships for greater results. To maximize your learning you complete a self-assessment, describe your own influence situation, and read two short articles before attending the program.

Using an experiential learning approach, you practice leading-edge tools and relationship building techniques-all while expanding your influence style to better manage the difficult situations of today's complex work environment.

I. Pre-Work
To maximize your learning, you complete a self-assessment, describe your own influence situation, and read two short articles before attending the program.

II. Core Curriculum
The curriculum for High Impact Relationships: Enhancing your Emotional Intelligence to Drive Performance is based on the work of Dr. Arlene Scott. This program is grounded in a cutting-edge experiential learning approach to building productive relationships that Dr. Scott adapted from her work with Stanford University Graduate School of Business in its acclaimed Interpersonal Dynamics course.

Specifically, this methodology provides you with a special, real-time learning experience where you:

  • Learn about yourself through the process of discovery
  • Receive profound, in-the-moment feedback from fellow participants
  • Work with learning partners and skill groups to clarify your goals and practice your behaviors
  • Develop action plans for increased competence and confidence

This live feedback process, in a safe environment, promotes rapid transfer of skills to the workplace.

And it provides the ideal learning laboratory for you to practice and apply the leading-edge tools and techniques of relationship building, emotional intelligence, and influencing dynamics. Along the way, learn how to expand your self-expression and impact, explore and expand your influence style, create shared understanding, and manage the difficult situations of today's complex work environment.

The net result for you: better relationships for greater impact and optimal performance.

III. Post-Work
Receive follow-up activities and tools that will help you practice and apply your newly developed skills inside your own workplace.

Who Should Attend
Leaders, experienced managers, directors, executives, and teams who need to leverage their emotional intelligence to build trusting relationships with customers and colleagues in order to lead the business successfully (Note: On-site delivery is available for intact or functional teams, and is especially useful for HR, IT, and Sales groups)
