Additional information about this course: UNAFFILIATED and NON-COMMERCIAL Unlike some training experiences, you won't get a sales presentation at an American Trainco seminar - all you get is an honest, commercially unbiased education. We do not engage in the practice of selling or promoting any other company's products or services, so you know that by attending one of our seminars, your time and money is well spent. HIGH QUALITY PRESENTATIONS As a certified electrical inspector and former industrial maintenance electrician, our in-house Code expert and program developer, Randy Barnett, has combined his real world technical expertise with personal in-depth knowledge of the NEC® to provide a clear explanation of how the requirements of the National Electrical Code® apply to electricians' and maintenance workers' everyday jobs. The addition of a lively, expert instructor and a high quality visual presentation results in a seminar experience that is practical and easy to understand, as students learn how the NEC® is applied in real life situations at their own industrial plants and commercial building facilities. Sponsor Background: What American Trainco Does In the next year, American Trainco will conduct in excess of 1,300 training seminars on over 15 primary maintenance topics in more than 70 major cities nationwide. While trying to figure out what to put on this web page that conveys all we want to say about our programs, we discovered that our students could probably do a better job of telling you about our company than us. So here’s just a small sampling of what they have to say about our training. American Trainco is….
Who We Are American Trainco was founded upon the experience of industry veterans. John Schuster (President and CEO) and Dan Sciantarelli (Vice-President of Sales) have over 35 years combined experience in bringing quality education to the maintenance worker. Since our inception in July of 2002, American Trainco has received a host of other industry veterans who, like our founders, grew up in competitor companies only to be ousted by corporate buyouts or economic stress. As a result, we have collected a kind of “all-star” team, able to provide our clients and customers with the highest and most consistent quality training available. The founding principle of our company is simple...Train our students as if they were our employees, in the practical skills that will help them in their job today! That’s Real World training…for Real World Needs! American Trainco Instructor(s): Instructor Background: Larren Elliott. Starting his career in the late 60's as an electrician, Larren Elliott soon moved to designing electrical control circuits on material handling systems. He later became the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for all industrial control products at an international electrical equipment manufacturer. He founded his own company in 1985, and became a professor of Engineering Technology at Texas A&M University. Always lively in the classroom, and armed with a great diversity of "real world" electrical applications, Larren has developed courses and provided training on more than twenty electrically related topics including the NEC® to several hundred large and small organizations over the last 30 years. “Real World Training…for Real World Needs” is not just our slogan, but also our mission statement. At American Trainco, we approach our students as if they were our own employees. We instruct and guide them in practical knowledge that allows them to immediately go back to their workplace and apply what they have learned. Our instructors are seasoned veterans with years of real world experience, and the students who attend our seminars often get more from a single week of training than an entire year of reading textbooks or watching videos. How do we know? They tell us. Anyone can teach theory, but there simply is no substitution for experience. What sets American Trainco apart is our ability to communicate that experience to our students. Although the instructor(s) mentioned above are scheduled to teach the majority of our NEC® seminars, American Trainco reserves the right to substitute an equally qualified instructor in any of our scheduled courses. Quote From Past Participants: "...practical instruction and a great learning environment." - Project Manager - Salt River Indian Comm. "...learned a ton!" - Supervisor - Shamrock Foods "All questions were answered completely."- I/E Technician - Texmark Chemicals "...exceeded my expectations..." - Elec. Supervisor - Allied Tube & Conduit
