With the nation's population growing older each year, the home medical equipment market is projecting a 14 percent annual growth. However, DME providers are being tested and challenged every day with a looming national COMPETITIVE BIDDING environment, MANDATORY ACCREDITATION, changes to the Power Mobility Device (PMD) benefit, cuts in reimbursement, increase program compliance, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and increased pre/post payment audits and new guidelines requiring more detailed documentation.
The HME provider's challenge is to provide low-cost, high-quality services while maintaining compliance with all government, state and corporate regulations. In this comprehensive program you will learn strategies for responding to the constant changes in HME/DME reimbursement, how to avoid simple (but costly) mistakes in billing and techniques for improving cost efficiency, productivity, collections and profitability.
