There are several reasons an insurance claim can get delayed, or even denied. Whether the issue is inadequate payment, denial or rejection, it is imperative to appeal claims in a timely manner with as much supporting documentation as possible. Each carrier or government agency has different reporting requirements, so organization and preparation are necessary if you expect correct reimbursement. It is also important to not appeal unnecessarily, as that can be an enormous waste of resources.

This one-day seminar will educate participants on reasons for low payments, denials, rejections and how to adequately pursue reimbursement and reduce future instances of necessary appeals. Paper records vs. electronic records will be covered, as well as the differences between fully insured and self-insured products, which do influence the appeals process. Participants will walk away with the knowledge they need to appeal insurance claims efficiently and effectively, resulting in accurate reimbursement and how to enhance the overall reimbursement cycle.
