DAY ONE
Section One - Assembling the Pieces
Discover the best, most efficient ways to load all of your Creative Suite 3 applications and learn what the minimum system requirements are for both Mac and Windows.
The best ways to outline a project to maximize production and minimize your time: from mind-mapping and flowcharting to creating timelines and work folders.
Section Two - Getting Organized
Getting yourself set up with The Bridge and Version Cue applications: How to add favorites and designers, respectively, and work with options.
Manage and control your projects by knowing where to start and how to assemble even complex projects from beginning to end.
Section Three - Adobe Photoshop
We’ll show you new tools Photoshop CS3 offers as well as techniques and shortcuts that will make you more productive and efficient at whatever project you take on.
Working with Photoshop preferences from the export clipboard to file handling and performance issues, we’ll make sure you’re set up properly.
We’ll also focus intently on setting your colors, organizing your layers, saving your images with compatible formats, and so much more!
Section Four - Adobe Illustrator

Section Two - Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat has some new tricks that are well worth exploring. Discover how to use Acrobat to create, combine, and control Adobe PDF documents for easy file sharing, collaboration, and data collection.
We’ll show you how to customize your tools and preferences, create PDF documents from Web pages and other programs, edit images and objects, explore multimedia accessibility, and so much more.
Section Three - Project One: The Newsletter
We want to give you real-world experience with the newest CS3 applications. In our first of two projects, Andy will create a newsletter from concept to final assembly and output.
You’ll see how he produces visuals in Photoshop and Illustrator, cranks out and effortlessly transfers your copy, organizes and controls your project with Bridge and Version Cue, and assembles all the pieces to create a polished document.
Section Four - Project Two: DVD Artwork& Jewel Case
We’re going to get your creative juices flowing as Andy produces artwork for a DVD or CD case and its packaging.
