Frontline Leadership Certificate Series
Group leaders learn to train both new employees and experienced workers. This workshop gives group leaders precise and practical methods to train their employees more effectively. Leaders also learn to spot worker training needs and provide thorough on-the-job training.
Individuals who are not officially "management" employees, but who provide leadership or informal guidance to a work group without the power to hire, fire, or conduct performance reviews. These individuals often do the work while providing leadership to their work group.

MRA-The Management Association is a non-profit trade association (501(c)6). It was founded in 1901 by 23 business leaders who were convinced of the advantages of a united approach to problem solving. By pooling information, exchanging ideas, and conducting educational programs and meetings in a voluntary association, employers recognize mutual problems and find ways to resolve or avoid these problems.
In 2014, MRA provided services to more than 275 different not-for-profit entities. MRA’s member organizations include 39 chambers of commerce across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa. Organizations join MRA as corporate members, gaining access to expert guidance, best practices, professionally facilitated roundtables, essential tools, and dozens of business services in the fields of human resources, learning and development, and productivity. Member services encompass areas including affirmative action, reference checking, training in human resource topics, business skills and management, and leadership effectiveness. MRA also offers educational programs available to the public.

Community and Charitable Involvement
At MRA, we’re proud to give back to the communities we serve. We do so through small grants and scholarships, funded through our Institute of Management Centennial Endowment Fund. This endowment fund supports our Non-Profit Leadership Fund (to provide reduced fee or no-fee education opportunities to nonprofit organizations), Small Business Development Fund (to aid small or emerging businesses by providing an opportunity to access MRA’s services and training programs at reduced-pricing), and Excellence in Human Resources Scholarship (to recognize and support the development of human resources professionals).
MRA is involved in the community and supports several charitable organizations, including United Way, Milwaukee Public Museum, Junior Achievement, Waukesha County Business Alliance, and the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), through donated services and monetary contributions. In addition, MRA employees are encouraged to volunteer and sit on boards for various other non-profit organizations. In the past, MRA executives have served on the board of directors of several organizations and chambers of commerce.
Institute of Management
MRA’s Institute of Management is a 501(c)3 entity and its purpose is to educate employees and the public through seminars, meetings, research, communication, and other outreach. The corporation is organized exclusively for education and research purposes under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue code of 1954 as it may be amended, and its purposes are limited to the furtherance of the exempt purposes within the intent of that Section.
In addition, MRA is licensed as a private career school with the Minnesota Office of higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Sections 141.21 to 141.32. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.

At MRA, our passion is to help organizations thrive and to support the next generation of HR professionals. As a result, we have established an the Excellence in Human Resources Scholarship, which helps support students pursue their education and prepare for a fulfilling career in human resources.
This scholarship is offered annually to students of junior or senior standing. Recipients receive a $1,000 monetary scholarship, as well as a free registration to an MRA training program.
In addition, MRA has an endowment fund that exists to provide financial assistance to not-for-profit leadership and support for small business development. Since its inception, the MRA Institute of Management Centennial Endowment Fund has contributed more than $28,000 to not-for-profit entities and sponsored $6,000 in college scholarships.
