Sign language isn't only used by the Deaf community; it is often used by children with general speech and language delays and disorders, developmental delays, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, and hearing loss. One effective way to communicate with this population is through sign language. However, many don't have time to become fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). The course instructor is here to help! In just 6 hours, you will learn to recognize and demonstrate 100 basic signs, the manual alphabet, and numbers from 1-20 as well as how to incorporate them into your practice immediately. Keywords: Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Early Intervention Staff, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners , Social Workers, Case Managers, Educators. 6 CEUs. Quote From Past Participants:

Not only does Jill understand how to teach ASL, but she also explains why it's important and helpful for anyone with articulation and communication difficulties (not just for the Deaf community). I would highly recommend Jill's workshop.
MS, CCC-SLP

Jill's method gives you a better understanding of the language and also helps you have a visual when recalling the signs. I found this method very effective for learning essential sign language quickly.
MSOT, OTR/L

Jill's workshop was engaging and informative, and I highly recommend it for professionals in pediatric settings.
MSP, CCC-SLP
